There are many drugs which have proven harmful and dangerous for the health of any person, with respect to his efficiency. So these drugs have been prohibited and it is illegal to produce, manufacture, sale, and use them. Only those companies can produce and manufacture these drugs which have been issued a license by the Government of the relevant country. Mostly, these drugs include heroin, cocaine, and other drug related materials. But, it is still being produced and used almost in all the countries even in the developed countries, like America, which is a big producer of heroin and cocaine. Afghanistan is also badly indulged in the production of illegal drugs.
Amphetamines, Anabolic steroids, Club drugs, Inhalants, Marijuana, Prescription drugs, alcohol, barbiturates, methaqualone, opium alkaloids, and minor tranquilizers, all are illegal drugs, but are used more frequently nowadays. Recent research tells that approximately forty million citizens suffer from serious illness and injuries in USA, every year. And not only this figure is increasing day-by-day, but the users of illegal drugs are also increasing. Law has declaimed above mentioned drugs illegal, because after using them, not only serious illnesses or injuries occurs, but many major social problems also occur, such as drugged driving, violence, stress, homelessness, crime, missed work, and child abuse.
The usage of illegal drugs can be reduced or prevented with the mutual effort of all the people living in the country. So, it is important for everyone to raise their level of awareness in order to reduce the risk of drug abuse or to help someone who is already suffering from drug abuse or addiction.
Illegal drugs come in different shapes, sizes, and types, and each particular drug generates unique and harmful side effects on the user. The drug, that the user prefers to use everyday or every time, is called the "drug of choice". Illegal drugs might be used by different people for many reasons, like boredom, to fit in, experimentation, and for many other reasons. They begin to abuse drugs when they repeatedly take them to solve their problems, for satisfaction, for achieving some impossible goals or to make them feel normal. But in all cases, the usage of illegal drugs is very harmful and dangerous for human beings. |
